This year in Child Care, we learned many things such as how to change a diaper, how to hold a baby, and how to prepare a bottle of formula. We get certified in CPR and First Aid. Many people think having a child is easy, but in this class you learn that it is expensive, there are a lot of responsibilities, and it will change your life! We also learn about the three trimesters of pregnancy, different ways babies can be born, and how to deal with behaviors. We learned employment skills such as non-verbal communication and the requirements to work in child care. Some of the things we thought were most fun were the Baby Olympics and acting like we work in a day care center. We visited Children's Courtyard and Clubhouse Cadets at Zavala Elementary, and we are going to the Thinkery before the end of the year.
