Clifton CDS Horticulture and Hospitality Programs will be holding their annual fundraisers on March 4th, 2017 from 8 am to noon. Proceeds from fundraisers go toward supporting student educational activities and outings to enhance the learning experience.
It's almost Spring, time to start planting your Gardens! The Clifton greenhouse is the perfect place to buy your plants, it is filled to capacity with a wide variety of plants grown and cared for by Clifton Horticulture Students.
Stop in to shop and then join the Hospitality program for the annual Pancake Breakfast in the Clifton Cafeteria. For a $8.00 ticket you get all you can eat pancakes and bacon!

Students recently started their clinical internship sites at St. David's & Elgin Nursing & Rehabilitation Center! There, students get to practice their hands on skills along side of nurses & physicians from what they have previously learned in the classroom.
Our first year students just successfully passed their first aid & CPR certifications through the American Heart Association. They are well equipped to start saving lives to those in need!

The Hospitality Program is proud of all the work our students put into participating in the Travis County Youth Show in January 2017.
12 Second year students submitted entries in the Baked Goods and Preserved Foods Categories. Their participation would not have been able with out the collaboration of the First year students who acted as sounding boards to bounce ideas off as well as sous chefs in the preparation of products. a in the Travis County Youth Show in January 2017.

The Clifton Career FFA is happy to announce that several students placed in the top 10 in the market lamb division at the Travis County Youth Show. Four of the students qualified for the premium auction.
Clifton's Culinary Arts Class had an outstanding showing at this year's Travis County Youth Show. There were 7 entries in a range of categories, from preserved foods to cookies and salsas. Culinary Arts had one entry recognized as grand champion, in the Barbecue Sauce category.

The Parent Engagement Support Office, Office of Special Education, and AISD Transition Support Services are collaborating to host special education parents on a tour of the various Austin ISD transition and work programs that prepare special education students for college, career, and life. Limited seating. RSVP Required.
